Christ Church Darley- Church of England
We are a friendly congregation worshipping in a church which has recently been reordered to provide a warm and comfortable venue for services and also community activities.
For details of services for major festivals please see Christ Church Current News page
Our normal pattern of services each month is
First Sunday Sung Holy Communion with Junior Church at 9.30 a.m.
Second Sunday Quiet Holy Communion at 6.30 p.m.
Third Sunday All Age Family Service at 9.30 a.m.
11 a.m. services are held at St Saviours, Thornthwaite and St Jude's, Hartwith which are also in the same parish. You would be most welcome to attend any of these churches.
We have a thriving Junior Church split into several age groups meeting in Darley twice per month . On the second and fourth Sundays it meets at Holy Trinity, Dacre Banks.
Our Vicar, Revd. Alastair Ferneley lives in the Vicarage, Dacre Banks with his family. He is always happy to meet with you.
We are also fortunate to have Revd Tony Collins as an Associate Minister .
Christ Church lies towards the west end of Main Street, Darley near the bottom of Walker Lane. It adjoins Christ Church Community Centre (CCCC) and shares its car park.
The church building is already used three evenings per week for community activities and these are arranged in conjunction with CCCC. If you would like to use the church please contact the Booking Secretary - Sue Nicholas on 07807 749 273 or a churchwarden.
