Darley in Bloom Cleaned for the Queen
9 April 10.00a.m. Christ Church Community Centre
The village was in need of a tidy before the summer, and what better way to carry out a litter-pick than under the auspices of the Clean for the Queen campaign.
Her Majesty is not expected to visit Darley - but 15 local residents helped to tidy it up - just in case. See pictures left and below
Darley Open Gardens returns!
17 July 2016
After a few quiet years, once again a number of beautiful gardens in Darley will be open to view on Sunday 17 July. The event will run from 11a.m. to 5p.m. and will also include craft stalls in Darley Memorial Hall, and, of course, tea and cakes.

Our happy band of volunteers have well and truly settled into this year's planned schedule of planting, dead-heading , weeding and litter-picking. We have a couple of new members, a generous donation of mulch in time for summer planting and some great offers of occasional help. Thank you to everyone who continues to support us.
Please mark your diaries for our working parties, in case you are ever free and inclined to lend a hand. On Saturday 13th June we will be planting the boxes with summer plants. Other dates scheduled for general work this year are Mondays: 6 July, 3 August, 7 September, 5 October and 9 November.
Friday 3rd July, we are planning an outing to York Gate Gardens in Adel. We are going as a private group at 2.30p.m. and our £10.50 entry price will also include coffee/tea and cake. Several people have offered to transport others. Contact Regine as soon as possible with your booking an payment if you would like to join us - this is open to anyone with an interest in gardens.
Lastly, we have confirmed the date for this year's play, to be held at Darley Memorial Hall on Thursday 19th November. It is 'The Gift of Stones' and promises to be a wonderful tale told in the wonderful style of the North Country Theatre Group
