Darley Playing Fields are owned and run by Darley Playing Fields Association (a Registered Charity). They are situated on Station Road, and include a full-sized football pitch, a pavilion, basketball practice area, recreational play space and a well-equipped children's playground.

The football pitch is used by Nidd United Junior Football Club, as well as being a general play area for local youngsters, and the pavilion can be hired for events, parties and meetings.

The playground includes standard children's play equipment (swings, slides, roundabout, climbing frame), as well as some adult fitness machines so that parents can exercise while watching their children at play.

Two boules courts were created in May 2022.  Boules are available for hire from the shop, and there is no charge for using the courts.
