The PTFA of Darley stands for Parents, Teachers and Friends Association. Our 'Friends' are the community of Darley and the PTFA would like them to get more involved.
As well as lots of social events, the priority of the PTFA is to raise funds to keep the school active and well resourced. All the money raised goes towards projects for the school. This year we are looking forward to the following projects:
- £5,000 for a wall building project
- £2,000 for an I.T. server to replace a very old system
- £1,000 for a music program
- £1,200 for swimming for the children
- £3,000 for transportation to and from swimming and other events
- £1,300 over 3 years for Reading Plus program
To raise this money we need your help. The Community of Darley. Even if you don't have children or grandchildren in the school, I am sure you will all agree that it would be a very sad day if the school were to close. We therefore want to keep it as the heart of the village and welcome everyone, young and old, to get involved.
