An emergency defibrillator was kindly donated to the Parish Council in 2012 and this is now installed in a box just inside the stone bus shelter on Main Street (next to the noticeboards) so that it is accessible all day every day.

In August 2021, a second unit has been sourced by the Parish Council from Harrogate Borough Council and is located at Hookstone Memorial Hall on Low Lane.  The unit is also available all day every day.

Both units include visual and audio instructions so it is possible for anyone to use it without training.  However, if you are interested in finding out more, or in undertaking a short training session so that you can offer support, please contact the Parish Clerk.
