New bridge is open

Published: 04 October 2020

Thanks to collaboration between NYCC Rights of Way, Darley and Menwith Parish Council, and RAF Menwith Hill, a new bridge has been erected to replace the one that crossed Fringill Beck next to the river.  Volunteers from Menwith Hill erected it on 2nd October, once the wood and equipment had been transported down by contractors. What great teamwork!
We recognise that wet weather may mean mud and puddles, so we are hoping to add crushed stones at each side of the bridge to make it more easily accessible.
